Saw works well right out of the box. The quick blade change and multi-directional blade positions are a great feature. Compact and fairly powerful.
This came in a set with a drill. Both are good quality and were very helpful in installing a home solar panel array. The reciprocating saw even came in handy for cutting some tree roots that were lifting up a sidewalk.

handy for trimming small branches
Ordered this product to cut the tops of 4x4 posts off a fence line of 51 posts. Worked better than the corded saw that I have, the bonus was I didn’t have to drag a generator with me. Did 40 posts with one battery.
So easy to handle, not so heavy and price was good slso.

This is described as 20v for the US market but works fine with standard 18v Dewalt XR batteries. These are not precision cutters, but great for chopping up stuff where millimetre accuracy is not needed. As per the description, the blade fits in two different ways which can be handy where access is difficult. It has a bright LED which also helps a lot.
As with all saws of this type, the blade can catch and make the saw jump if you are not careful, so protective gloves and eye protectors are a good idea - the queues at A&E are so long these days, so why take a chance on injuring yourself?

Ace bit of kit. Runs off the 18V standard deWalt batts. The blades are standard across most brands if you’ve not had one before and this little monster eats through wood and plastic with gusto and it’s small length makes it extremely versatile. The light to illuminate the cutting area is designed to perfection and makes awkward cuts that much easier to perform. Love it !
Keeps going but take some batteries with you. Gets hot as these tools do. Great little saw for the money
