I used this light for a small grow in a tent with 2 plants. I would say if you really want to have a successful grow these 100w are only rated for 1 plant per light. Great light and super energy efficient. I now own 2 and love them!
I have a Vivosun 2x4 Full tint kit that I needed to pair one more light with, and they work great together. This far with everything I have purchased from Vivosun has been high-quality!
Two great things about this light:
1. The brightness control which allows you to dim the light a bit as you keep it closer to your little starts, then brighten it as they get bigger and you raise it up.
2. The high quality, which includes a hanging mechanism that allows you to easily adjust the height of the lamp by just pulling in the strings it is hanging by. This makes it so easy to keep the light level and adjust it as plants grow.

I have been running this light 24/7 for 3 months without issue, no burned out LED’s or overheating. I have it set around 24” above plants and accidentally burnt the tops of my plants running the light at 100%.
Purchased 4 times and 2 times missing parts. Not wanting to send back because all is good just need hangers to hang it. I have straps included but nothing to clip them into. They want me to return and I’m like for what you just cant send the hangers? First time customer service replaced credit for straps and I repurchased them then they mailed my hangers, cool! Now I have to return it to maybe getting same issue. So protecting my time of packaging n the drive to a long line is worthless. Led vs1000 works fine I just want hangers that’s all. So I modified my own hangers for it and I will not buy from vivosun again because it’s not my fault it says what’s included and they didnt put it in there but my money sure made it their way with all cents n me missing purchased items. And I was gonna buy the vs4000 next for my other vivosun tent. Thought I was part of the family.
This was definitely what I was looking for. It’s got several settings 25%, 50 and so on upto 100. So you’re not gonna burn your wee ones. There’s almost zero heart coming off this light and you can daisy chain them together.
Had to buy an additional light for the 4x2 Vivosun grow tent, this light is NOT rated for that size tent, just read the product description. Wonder why a company would ”kit” incompatible products? Makes me angry that I had to spend additional money when the grow tent was supposed to include all you need to start growing right away. Lies.
Right out of the box I was impressed with the quality of this light. Packaging was exceptional. I am basically testing this light out as there aren’t many reviews that talk about flowering... Has nobody tried? I hear a lot of people talking like its a veg light only.. If I could add anything to this light it would be to add Infrared diodes for flowering. I know this also adds heat but with how cool this light runs it would help to add a bit of heat to the grow closet. I have had this light on for 38 days @ 18/6. The closet never gets warmer than 23 degrees (C). I have maintained 24 inches from the canopy since the start with the exception of a day or two where I dropped it down to 20 inches and watched my plants (2) wilt due to too strong of light (right back to 24 inches). We shall see what the final outcome will be gram per watt. The VS1000 offers enough light for two plants in the veg stage. I might purchase another light so I have one for each plant in the flowering stage. My guess is this light will be good for flowering as long as you have at least one light for each plant. I would say the max coverage for the VS1000 is 2’X2’ for flowering but we shall see!
I wanted to add that although the pictures on Amazon show a 3 stage dimmer switch (50%/75%/100%) Mine came with a five stage dimmer switch (25%/50%/75%/100%/OFF) which is a marked improvement since the first release. Great product and a great company. I can’t speak to their customer service as I haven’t needed any... Very happy with my purchase so far. Pics are two week growth intervals (approx).

I’m a few days from harvest now and the light is still very impressive. I would not try to flower more than a 2’X2’ area. As you can see in my pictures i favoured one plant with the light. The one that was not directly under the light produced buds that lacked density and trichomes that looked more like fingers with no ball at the head. The plant under the light produced dense big buds and plenty of trichomes that I’m very happy with but I’m still a month and a half away from smoking it as it has to cure. For my next grow I decided to purchase the Electric Sky V3 300. I will use the VS1000 light for seeding and veg only from here on out. In short... I love the light but it isn’t the final answer for me.. If growing one plant I would use this light but I want to grow two but I also want to grow the best flower that I can produce. Aficionados of fine bud should not try to avoid the initial investment of a more powerful light. You wait for a harvest for 8-14 weeks, watering, feeding, pruning, waiting, why not make it the best it can be. That’s my take.. Hope it helps. I’m estimating a gram per watt yield but will update after the harvest.
A little over a gram per watt harvested dry weight! And it is potent! More potent than what I buy in bud shops even! And I haven’t cured it yet, just snuck a taste! I’m impressed. You can veg and flower one plant with this light with good results! Happy growing!

Alright lets be honest here. After reading reviews from others, specially towards cannabis, I have to LMAO. This light is well designed and has a great spectrum. With that said, it is very much underpowered, I have a 1000w version and compared to competitors, very low production for the watts. Let’s be frank, I’ve seen reviews which claim this is great for 4X2, come on really? The light isn’t designed for an area that large, what are you talking about? If you want 2 ounces at best, this is a good light, beyond that, it is not capable. Or at least the 1000w version isn’t. Do your research and invest, this is a good light, it’s great actually, but it’s low powered, don’t expect much if you’re growing with a 1000w version.
The size is not your typical LED light Is better the Samsung bulbs Are amazing the colour spectrum is different though it’s a lot easier on the eyes but you don’t get the same spectrum as other led lights . All know there isn’t much to say bad about this light as you can see it sold out I tried to buy a few more but ill have to wait.
I bought a lot of these lights my vegetables love them but these two came smashed up crappy deliverer and still waiting for refund as the snail mail takes forever to get back to Amazon…. 316 in limbo for two lights …..
This LED grow light is a perfect light for starters right into early veg. It has a 3x3 footprint of strong light, is very bright for its wattage, and is excellent for low heat output. As you can see it fits in a closet very nice, and will be eventually moved to a small grow tent.
